What Is Manicuring?


This course involves 400 hours of nail technology fundamentals which can be completed in about 12 weeks. This class encompasses manicuring, pedicuring, acrylics, tips, wraps, gels, etc. You will learn how to provide relaxing beauty treatments for the hands, feet, and nails. You will spend your time performing nail services on the student floor, as well as completing theory hours from our Milady textbook.

Opportunities in the Field of Manicuring


The curriculum for students enrolled in a manicuring course shall consist of four hundred (400) hours of technical instruction and practical training covering all practices of a manicurist pursuant to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act. For the purpose of this section, technical instruction shall mean instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination; practical operations shall mean the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or on a mannequin.

Manicuring Course – 400 Hours


Skills:

Ability to recognize any skin disorders in the hands and/or feet.

Use of proper implements relative to all manicures, pedicures and artificial nails.

Health and Safety precautions related to manicures, pedicures and artificial nails.

FULL-TIME 35 HOURS A WEEK

Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 AM TO 4:30 PM

PART-TIME 31 HOURS A WEEK

Tuesday – Friday 9:00 AM TO 3:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM TO 4:30 PM
