About Barbering School


A professional who cuts, trims, and styles hair is yes, you guessed it, a Barber! Barbers are professionals that primarily work on male clients, although some might work on women that prefer a short hair style. Moreover, Barbers also provide clients with facial hair maintenance, custom shaves, and other additional men’s grooming services. The goal of a professional barber is to cut a client’s hair or trim the client’s beard; while, simultaneously keeping the client at ease and in a comfortable mood. Techniques that allow a barber to do a great job, is creating rapport and small talk with the clients he/she is servicing.  Therefore, we train each and every student so that they may successfully implement all barbering services, acquire the knowledge of analyzing human anatomy, and learn the different trims and cuts, hair style techniques. Opportunities in Barbering


The curriculum for students enrolled in a barbering course shall consist of fifteen hundred (1500) hours of technical instruction and practical training covering all practices of a barber pursuant to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act. For the purpose of this section, technical instruction shall mean instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination; practical operations shall mean the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or on a mannequin.

Barbering Course – 1500 Hours


Skills:

Learn the relative process and procedures of implementing all barbering services.

Acquire the knowledge of analyzing the scalp, face, and skin prior to all or any services to determine any disorders.

Will learn the procedures and terminology used in performing all barbering services.

Will learn the different techniques of shaving.
